My 2016 F32 BMW Individual 430d M-Sport Coupe

Latest Update >>> My 2016 F32 BMW 430d 9 Month 13500 Mile Update

I’m excited to say there has been a new arrival in my garage. Out has gone the 2018 BMW X1 20i X-Line and I have bought a 2016 BMW 430d Coupe in stunning BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue and with Individual Cashmere Extended Merino Leather interior.

As good as the X1 was I desperately wanted something with more power and something that had a more sporty character without sacrificing all of the practicality of the X1 and without crucifying running costs. When this particular one off specified car came up through my local BMW main dealership I decided to take the plunge, break with tradition and go with my heart rather than my head when buying a car.

This particular car was registered just a couple of days shy of being a 2017 car and has covered just 45000 miles in it’s 4 years so far. Being the 430d it comes fitted with BMW’s excellent N57 3.0 Litre 6 Cylinder Diesel engine delivering 258 PS/HP and a huge 560nm torque. That can deliver 0-60mph in 5.3 Seconds (0-100kph in 5.4) and is limited to 155mph/250kph whilst still being capable of 45 mpg so it delivers both the performance I wanted and is more economical than the X1 was. It is the rear wheel drive model and not X-Drive so has the lowered M-Sport suspension.

As well as the Individual paint and interior it has the Burr Walnut Trim which I was unsure about but having now received the car it does suit the rest of the interior nicely. It has the Widescreen Professional Navigation system, Auto Xenon Headlights, Auto Wipers, and Heated Electric Memory Seats.

It has the optional M-Sport Plus package which brings 19″ M Double-spoke style 442 M
Bicolour Orbit Grey Alloy Wheels, M-Sport Brakes (Brembo 4 pot 370mm fronts and 2 pot 345mm rears), Harmon Kardon Sound System, and Sun Protection Glass. It also has Adaptive Cruise Control with traffic jam assist, so keeps you a set distance from the car in front and will stop and start you when in traffic and a reversing camera optioned in.

Having brought the car at the height of a worldwide pandemic and in the middle of a national lockdown I’ve had very few opportunities to drive the car so far but in the 50 miles or so I have done doing essential journeys I’m already very pleased with my choice. I’m looking forward to exploring the car and sharing lots of thoughts and photographs once some freedom has returned. In the mean time I have attached a few pictures from the advertisement so you can get a hint of what it is like.

Thanks for reading and please subscribe for all the updates from my time with this beautiful car.
